Tiny and Tall
Our team's focus is on intergenerational connection. We recognize that everyone *tiny and tall* are affected by dementia. It is our goal (along with fundraising) to find special ways to connect us all together.
People of all ages are welcome to join our team!! We will be having a special contest and get-togethers before the walk. Join our team to recieve updates about these contests or continue to visit our page to learn more as the weeks go on.
This team is led by several staff members at The Dementia Society: Sheila Bauer, Kelly Wilkinson, Sara Licea and Misia McCallum. Our Team Captain is Misia - if you have any questions please ask, she would love to hear from you! She can be reached at email@example.com or 613-523-4004 ext. 3228.
Thank you to all the families who joined the Tiny and Tall team on Sunday, April 28th at Indigo Pinecrest! As a team, we were happy to see the intergenerational connections during the reading! Families and multiple generations came together with their children and shared their lived experience with Dementia amongst the group.
We had two successful readings of the children’s book “Brains, Changes and Dementia” by Lynda Moore. After the reading, the children created some remarkable t-shirt designs that they will sport at the Walk for Dementia on May 11th. Way to go kids!
