Welcome to Jean's page
I’m once again participating in the Walk for Dementia, the walk was scheduled to be on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Tunney’s Pasture, due to Covid-19 the walk has been postponed. Losing my Mum to Dementia was a very difficult time for me and my family. When Mum finally passed away, there was some sense of closure. She had everything taken away from her. I would like to continue to participate in this walk. I want to honour my Mum, and all those that are living or have lived through this, in one form or another. Will you please help me reach my fundraising goal? By making a donation to my Walk for Dementia, you’ll be helping people access the much-needed programs and services offered by The Dementia Society.
Your donation will directly benefit the thousands of people in the Ottawa and Renfrew County area who are living with dementia by funding:
- Guidance and support for 5,000 people annually
- Social and peer engagement programs for caregivers and people with dementia
- Education on many topics related to dementia
- Information and resources to ensure caregivers and their loved ones with dementia have what they need to navigate the dementia journey
Whatever you can give will help – it all adds up! I greatly appreciate your support and thank you for helping me to reach my fundraising goal.
