We know you loved the Walk for Dementia and we’re back! Join this year’s Walk Sunday, September 24th at our new dementia-inclusive Dementia Society Centre to support the Ministry-funded dementia education and support organization in our area—The Dementia Society.

More than anytime in our 40+ year history, people need our help. We need your help. With dementia on the rise, more people are asking for our help, more often. But Ministry funding is not enough, not nearly. We need your help to raise the funds needed to continue providing the education, support and programming sought by unprecedented numbers of people impacted by dementia in our region. The money we raise here stays here to directly support our free-access services for people in Ottawa and Renfrew County. About The Dementia Society

Many people experience symptoms of dementia long before diagnosis. Many people are relieved to finally understand what is “going on” yet for others, the diagnosis creates fear and worry. What does it all mean, what does it mean for my spouse, partner, family, friends and future? All of these thoughts are natural and expected, and they need not overwhelm. The Dementia Society is here to walk with you, and to understand your goals and help you live them. We are your own community of support.

Call Us Anytime. You don’t need to be referred by a medical professional or social worker to connect with The Dementia Society. Navigating care options for dementia is tough enough.
